Cell Spreading on pncSi and glass
Spreading of cells (huvec and fibroblasts) on pncSi and glass was observed at ~37 C in L15 media (+ 10% FBS) for ~5 hours.
Its observed that the cell spreading is pretty similar on both the substrates and the time lapse movies can be seen from the following links:
Somehow its observed that the time taken to spread is in the order:
huvec/pncSi < fibroblast/glass < huvec/glass < fibroblast/pncSi.
This could be due to the different cells used ( i.e. from different passages).
The movie time is actually the time captured whereas the time to spread is lesser than that. So, it can be possible that the spreading of huvec/fibroblast on pncSi/glass takes about the same time. I’ll have to check on that again.
